How Does A Thermal Printing Work?
As mentioned before, the Rollo label printer uses thermal printing technology. You may be asking what does this mean? Thermal printing is the technique of using heat from the printer head to heat special thermal paper or labels to produce an image.
This technique ensures that your labels come out crisp and clear. It also means your labels won’t smear or smudge like inkjet-printed labels are prone to do.
The Rollo printer also works with any direct thermal label, You read that right ANY direct thermal label. You can even use free UPS labels, which is an added advantage.

You hence don’t have to spend money on over-priced proprietary labels, provided by other brands such as Dymo

How Fast Does The Rollo Thermal Printer Print?
The Rollo printer is a high-speed printer. It clocks in at 150 mm/s which equates to 238 4-line address labels per minute!
This speed is twice as fast as most of their competitors.
The Dymo 4XL Labelwriter clocks in at 53 labels per minute and the Brother QL1100 comes in at 69 labels per minute.
This high-speed printing speed is made possible with the use of Advanced Thermal Direct technology, which doesn’t require toner or ink.
The Rollo printer is therefore suitable for high volume label printing, which most regular desktop printers can not handle.
It prints labels from 1.57” to 4.1” wide with no restriction on the label’s height. You can also easily print 4” x 6” shipping labels, warehouse labels, barcode, and ID labels. Other labels include bulk mailing labels such as Amazon FBA Labels.
What Is This Printer Compatible With?
Compatibility is one of the first considerations that you need to make when considering a new printer.
You won’t be printing many labels if you don’t choose a printer that is compatible with a range of shipping platforms.
Luckily, this printer is compatible with a variety of them: FedEx, UPS, USPS, Rollo Ship Manager, ShipStation, ShippingEasy, Shippo, and ShipWorks and Online marketplaces such as Shopify, Etsy, eBay, and Amazon.

It installs and works like a regular printer allowing you to print to it from any application. Some of the apps that you can print from are Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, your internet browser, among many others.
Is The Rollo Printer Cost-effective?
The Rollo printer allows you to save money on labels. You can choose whether to buy your labels from Rollo or a generic alternative. Your rollo printer is capable of printing on either one. It can also print on the free labels you can get from UPS

To learn more about how this feature works see the video below. It will explain how to use the automatic label identification feature.
What Is Automatic Label Identification?
One of the reasons this product towers above most of the other available options is its automatic label identification system. You only need to press a single button, to have the printer automatically detect the size and characteristics of your label. This feature makes loading labels quick, easy, and convenient.
What Role Does Design Play In The Rollo Printer’s Performance?
This label printer itself has a compact design. It is a pretty modern, rugged, and portable printer, one thing to consider before purchasing, is the room you will need for the labels themselves. The fanfold labels sit behind the printer, and the rolls go onto an optional label holder.
Do not equate the size of the printer to its performance. It is capable of printing up to 238 4 line address labels per minute!
Rollo also has a patented design that is engineered to make the device easy and hassle-free. This design also boosts your productivity thanks to the high-performance logistics printing required for pretty tight conditions.
How Does The Rollo Printer Perform?
Performance is a huge consideration when it comes to choosing the right label printer. Fortunately, the Rollo printer has a pretty fantastic performance record that sets it far ahead of the competition. The Rollo Printer is a commercial-grade label printer, meaning it can support up to and over 5000 labels a day.
It delivers bright, crystal clear prints at a blazing speed. You can also use any direct thermal label, (including the free labels you can get from UPS), to print high-quality bar codes and shipping labels without using any ink.
This is also made possible by the super fantastic speed of 150mm/s, which is not easy to come by. You can easily switch from courier to courier provided that it is a supported platform.
This feature will help you achieve easier printing of your labels, which is everything that you need. Whatever option or platform you choose, you will still be able to use your negotiated rates with the courier.
